Computer Help for Seniors in Melbourne, in Your Own Home
Patient, friendly, one-on-one technology help for older Australians — in your own home, at your own pace, with no jargon and no rushing. We'll happily explain things as many times as it takes.
Patient, one-on-one help that comes to you
Technology moves fast, and it's easy to feel left behind — or talked down to. We do things differently. A friendly technician comes to your home, sits alongside you, and works at your pace. There are no silly questions, and we're happy to go over something as many times as you need.
We work at your pace
No rushing, no pressure. We take the time to make sure you're comfortable before we move on.
Plain English, no jargon
We explain everything in ordinary language, and skip the technical terms unless you want them.
A written summary to keep
After every visit we leave a clear, written summary of what we did and how to do it yourself — so you're not relying on memory later. Very few others do this, and our clients love it.
Helping a parent or grandparent
Many of our calls come from adult children arranging help for a parent — often from interstate or overseas. We make that easy. You're welcome to be there for the first visit, or to leave us to it; either way we'll keep you in the loop.
You can trust who's coming into their home: our technicians are fully insured and police-checked, and we treat every client with genuine respect and patience.
Specialists in seniors and retirement village support
Our real specialty is turning complex technical issues into language that's easily understood — so you always know what's going on. And we don't just fix the problem: we provide both the solution and the education and training to empower you with new IT skills and the confidence to use them.
A big part of that is protection from online and phone scams, through practical awareness and online-safety guidance. We also work on-site with retirement villages and aged-care communities across Melbourne's east. See our retirement village IT support →
What we help with
The iPad is the number-one device we help seniors with, closely followed by smartphones. Whether it's sending photos to the grandchildren, shopping safely, or setting up a video call for a family birthday, we'll get you there.
Common fixes we provide
Some of the things we're asked to help with most often:
- Security & protection — making sure the correct anti-virus, spam and ad-blocking software is installed and working correctly.
- Password management — getting all your passwords securely organised and managed.
- WiFi & network fixes — restoring or upgrading slow internet, and expanding the range of your home network.
- Email migration — moving providers and synchronising mail, contacts and calendars across your computer and mobile devices.
- Computer running slow? — upgrading old hardware or identifying software issues that could be causing speed problems.
- Printer upgrades — supply and installation of new multifunction print, copy and scan hardware.
Staying safe online
Older Australians are deliberately targeted by scammers — not because of anything they've done wrong, but because criminals see them as trusting and more likely to answer the phone. We teach the warning signs in plain language, and we're crystal clear about what a real technician will never do:
We will never phone you out of the blue asking for your password, ask you to buy gift cards, or request remote access to your computer unless you called us first. Anyone who does is a scammer — hang up and call us.

Seniors tech help FAQs
How long is a typical visit?
Most visits run 45 minutes to an hour, but we're led by you — we won't rush off if you still have questions.
What does it cost?
We give you a clear, upfront price before we begin, so there are no surprises.
Can you help over the phone instead?
Sometimes, yes — but most seniors prefer us there in person, and it's usually far less stressful. We'll do whatever suits you best.
Do you help retirement villages?
Yes. We run help desks, group sessions and scam-safety talks for retirement communities. See retirement village IT support →
